I wish to preface why I chose to write this particular article. Recently an article was written by another JU member in regard to the horrendous actions taken by the terrorist group Hamas during the celebration of Sukkoth. This article discussed how 2 small children, a female Israeli jogger and the person trying to save her life were all murdered by this group. An anonymous individual chose to make a comment making reference to genocide of the people of Palestine
Throughout history genocide was the goal to many in regard to people of the Jewish culture. Making a statement that the Israeli people would commit such actions against another group is ludicrous. Let me add to the fire of this article by incorporating some religion. The reality of all of this fighting is founded in religion as well as politics. The title "the chosen people" that G~d gave to the Jews is a title representing setting an example living life in a way that guides. Israel has not set fourth on a killing spree this is against their core values.
Protecting the state of Israel as well as it's future is the goal. Keeping the land they have held sacred over centuries enabling this land to continue to be part of their futures heritage. Hence, the reasoning for the wall and gates. Acting in defense to protect the state and the Israelis against increasing terrorist groups that are killing babies & civilians has created a media frenzy condemning Israel for their actions.
This particular article linked you to an article stating how Israel used defense to stop the deadly rocket fire. The key word here is "defense" it's important to realize that if Israel were not humanitarians they have the ability to cut off the electricity and water to Palestine. Think about it..........
